Hi Again!
Well, we're back, this time with something not quite as outdoorsy as walking a dog. Okay, make that, something not quite outdoorsy at all. Not even a little bit. Today, we're going to knock off some of the numbers on the list that are online games. As I'm sure you noticed, being the observant reader that you are, we have less than 150 days to do 150(ish) things. And, we aren't posting every day. Which means (unfortunately) we aren't adventuring together every day and that, even if we were adventuring ever day, we'd need to do more than one thing on the list each day. Because of that, many of our blogs are going to cover more than one thing on the list. Let's see how many we can knock off today.
12. Find 10 gnomes in 10 minutes: personally, I didn't really like this one. I've never really been a fan of "I spy" type things, and that's what this is. But maybe I'm just bitter because I couldn't even find one gnome in ten minutes, let alone ten (this was level one). Oops. While a clever idea, I think it was a bit too challenging to come back to. I also lost interest in this quickly, so that didn't help. However, it did take up time if you're looking for something to do when bored. And if you are a fan of "I spy," go for it and more power to you.
14. Improve your vocabulary and help to end world hunger: Freerice.com happens to be one of my favorite websites (even before this list). It was really big for us in high school too. I love that I'm doing something to help, instead of just playing a mindless game. At least, that's how I justify doing this instead of doing work. But, for real, a really easy way to help people.
16. Or jiggle some virtual jello: This is kind of cool, but it won't take up much time if you're looking for something to take up an entire day. The jello is decently entertaining though.
18. Compose music with your computer keyboard: This one is actually awesome. It can take up as much or as little time as you want. I had fun spelling things (like my name and the names of friends) to determine what song we made. It's also fun to just mess around and hit random letters.
90. Pull teh tail bak and launch teh kitteh to nom nom nom 4 fud: Good game. What's not to love about a cute kitty (in the shape of a ball, basically) that bounces off things. Gets challenging, I haven't been able to beat the game yet, but it was addicting.
103. Get the glass!: Okay, so at first this looks kinda lame, but I ended up really liking it when I played all the way through. The only problem is that it's basically going to take a set amount of time, not too too long and not too too short, so unlike some of the other games you can't really decide how long you're going to play it. But, playing this game is pretty neat. Where else would I have learned that you blink more after a night of little sleep than a night with a good amount of sleep? Or, that your brain waves are always more active at night.
149. Whatever you do, do NOT push the big red button!: So, I was extremely amused by this. The red button was clever, though repetitive. I highly recommend it. And, if you're bored and have extra time to spend, you can even try doing what the big red button says (don't push it). Although, I don't know that that would be much fun. Or much of an adventure.
Well, those are my takes on some of the online links of things you can do when you're bored. You can accept what I say about the links, although I don't suggest it. You should probably try all the links yourself and form your own opinions of them, because apparently I have the interests of a five year old, as my mother told me at the dinner table tonight. Well, what she actually said was that the jokes I was telling that I found so amusing were just like the stupid jokes I used to tell when I was five and think were hilarious. Well, there's my take on things, take it or leave it. Oh, and join us tomorrow, for when we go kayaking!

Day 1
Hello World!
Greetings. As you read in the description (or didn't read, who knows) we are three college kids, home for the summer and are trying to make our summer more exciting. Online, we found a list of 150 things to do when you're bored http://listsgalore.blogspot.com/2009/08/150-things-to-do-when-youre-bored.html. Naturally, a challenge was born and we decided to try and complete all 150 things before we went back to school. We're adding a couple of our own adventures along the way, hence the 150(ish) things.
So begins our adventure...
#150. Print out this list and separate the ideas with scissors. Put them all into a jar and any time you're bored, just pick one! Done. See below: our jar.
The first number we picked to do was #9. Walk your dog. Or offer to walk a neighbor's dog. If you can't find a dog to walk, try walking your cat ... or your ferret. Or you could try washing your dog — or your neighbor's dog. I suggested we walk my fish (with the tank, of course), but no one else seemed enthused by that idea, so, a dog it was. Well, it was really hot today, but not wanting to back away from the challenge, we took Mr. Bond (pictured below) on a walk. We went to the park. I think he had fun, he looks pretty happy; or maybe he was just really tired and excited to be home. Also, it just so happens that #76. is Launch your own website or blog. Fill your site with movie reviews or blogging advice, or something else you're an expert at. Or help out someone else who would like to start one but can't quite figure out how. Which, just so happens to be what we're doing now. Thanks for reading, and stop by again to check out our next adventure! 3 down, 147(ish) more to go :)
